This is the basic how we made this Thai salad;
Ingredients
200–300 g sirloin steak
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1–1.5 tbsp fish sauce
- 1–2 tsp palm sugar
- 1–2 garlic cloves
- 1–3 chilies
- Koriander
- Cucumber
- Tomatoes
- Red Onion
- Sallad
- Mint
Instructions
- Crush the garlic and chilies roughly in a mortar.
- Add the palm sugar and pound until dissolved.
- Pour in the lime juice and fish sauce.
- Taste and adjust.
- Serve with Rice or sticky rice
The balance should be:
- sour from the lime
- salty from the fish sauce
- sweet from the palm sugar
- spicy from the chilies
