Spicy Thai Sallad

This is the basic how we made this Thai salad;

Ingredients

200–300 g sirloin steak

  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1–1.5 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1–2 tsp palm sugar
  • 1–2 garlic cloves
  • 1–3 chilies
  • Koriander
  • Cucumber
  • Tomatoes
  • Red Onion
  • Sallad
  • Mint

Instructions

  1. Crush the garlic and chilies roughly in a mortar.
  2. Add the palm sugar and pound until dissolved.
  3. Pour in the lime juice and fish sauce.
  4. Taste and adjust.
  5. Serve with Rice or sticky rice

The balance should be:

  • sour from the lime
  • salty from the fish sauce
  • sweet from the palm sugar
  • spicy from the chilies
