Lycksele Skyline – North of Sweden

I am standing by the bank of the Ume River, just below the campsite. No northern lights tonight. The city rests under a thick blanket of clouds, soft as cotton. I look out over the quiet city and take a deep breath.

The evening is calm. Moments like this last. About minus six degrees, a crisp, clear night.

I’m testing my new lens, the new 85/1.4 GMII. It’s roughly 1,200 meters as the crow flies, and it feels pinnsharp.
